Full declaration
Isoaliphates, Linseed oil - stand oil - natural resin ester, silicic acid, micronized wax, orange oil, dehydrated amino sugar and drying agents free of lead (Ca, Co, Mn, Zr).
Application method
With a brush, roller, wadded cloth, or with a spraying device (with 10 - 30 % of SVALOS Spray Thinner No. 293) at temperatures above 16°C (60°F).
Coverage
Determine the exact coverage by doing a test coat.
Depending on the absorbency and the type of wood:
First coat: 45 ml/m², i.e. 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 22 m² (237 ft²).
Second coat: 11 ml/m², i.e. 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 88 m² (947 ft²).
Third coat: 4 ml/m², i.e. 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 295 m² (3.175 ft²).
Total: 60 ml/m², i.e. 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 16 m² (172 ft²).
For spray application: add max 30% of SVALOS Spray Thinner No. 293.
Cleaning
Clean equipment immediately after use with SVALOS Thinner No. 222 or LEVO Brush Cleaner No. 997.
Drying time
At 23 °C (73 °F) and 50% relative humidity: First coat 12 hours, subsequent coats 24 hours. Final degree of hardness is reached after 4 weeks. At higher emperatures, please consider shorter drying times and polish in more quickly. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, please consider longer drying times as given.
Specific gravity
Approximately 0.91 g/ml.
Safety advice
Always be sure to store and then dispose of cleaning cloths, polishing pads, sponges, etc. that are still wet or even slightly moist with KUNOS Countertop Oil No. 243 in an airtight metal container or in water, as there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content.
Application
Stir thoroughly before use. Remove possible skin formed on surface. Depending on surface requirements, absorbency and type of wood: Apply 1 to 3 thin coats, until a surface layer has developed. Polish the excess oil approximately 3 minutes after application with a lint-free cotton cloth. Sand after the 1st coat with 280 grain.
Final treatment
For surfaces treated with KUNOS Natural Oil Sealer No. 244 or ARDVOS Universal Wood oil No. 266. Prepare by sanding with 280 grain. Apply as described in the application above.
Cleaning
Use TRENA pH-Neutral Cleaner diluted with water and wipe it with a moist, but not wet cloth. By every 4th of 5th cleaning process, use GLANOS Natural Liquid Wax Cleaner No. 559 instead of TRENA in the wash water. Do after-care with KUNOS Furniture Oil No. 245 or KOIMOS Furniture Maintenance No. 562, when the surface looks matt. Alternatively KUNOS Maintenance No. 1893 is also suitable.
Care
Maintenance should be carried out according to usage. As a rule once or twice annually. Prepare the surface by sanding with 280 grain, and then apply a thin coat of KUNOS Countertop Oil with a cotton cloth. The surface should have a uniformed glow after the treatment, if not, repeat the process.
