Drying time
At 23 °C (73 °F) and 50% relative humidity: approximately 5 to 8 hours. The 2nd and 3rd coat can be applied after approximately 18 hours. At higher temperatures, please consider shorter drying times, and by lower temperatures, longer drying times.
Cleaning
Clean equipment immediately after use with SVALOS Thinner No. 222 or LEVO Brush Cleaner No. 997.
Specific gravity
Approximately 0.87 g/ml.
Safety advice
Always make sure, that cleaning cloths, polishing pads, sponges, etc. which are still wet or even slightly moist with ALIS Decking Oil No. 579, to store and then dispose of in an airtight metal container or in water, otherwise there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content.
Application
Stir thoroughly and remove possible skin formed on surface. Test adhesiveness by doing a test application (beading effects e.g. point to incompatibilities).
Apply with a brush or roller in the direction of the wood grain at temperatures above 10 °C (50 °F), low humidity and dry weather. The applications should be done within 4 weeks.
Terraces:
First application sated, e.g. through pouring out and spreading the oil until saturation.
Second application more sparingly. Spread after 5 ? 10 minutes.
Windows:
Pre-sand with grain 80 (100) and 120.
First application sated by brush or with a short-hair roller in the direction of the wood grain. Spread excess oil with a brush after 5 ? 10 (20) minutes (depending on the temperature). Intermediate sanding with grain 240.
Second and third application more sparingly. Observe the absorbency of the wood and if a sated application is necessary again, spread with a brush after 5 ? 10 minutes. (A layer formation should be reached after the second coat). Seams of new windows should be wiped immediately after the first application with a lint-free cotton cloth. Silicone should be applied only after complete drying.
Facades:
Treat planed wood in such a way, that it is sated. Spread excess oil after approximately 5 ? 20 minutes, depending on the outside temperature. Second and third application according to the instruction for windows.
Cleaning
Clean with GLOUROS Cleaner No. 1806 at least once a year.
Care
Do after care with ALIS Decking Oil No. 579 when weathering or an extreme loss of gloss becomes visible.
